Jupiter and its Moons

Jupiter, you're looking mighty fine tonight. From left to right: Io, Callisto, Jupiter and its Great Red Spot, Europa, and right underneath Europa, Ganymede. Just a thought to blow your mind, this little planet could fit 1321 Earths, and the light that I captured in this picture left the surface of the planet ~40 minutes before the picture was taken.

Jupiter and Callisto

It's kinda eerie to see with your own eyes. This seemingly independent system floating out there all alone in the dark, endless expanse of space. Here's Jupiter and one of its estimated 67 moons, Callisto. This is my 4th attempt at Jupiter and my clearest yet, but have reached the edge of what my telescope's optics can achieve.....but there's ALWAYS room for improvement.

Moon Jet Streaks

The clouds finally broke. I released the shutter. Streaks?! I looked up and saw a jet flying right beside the moon!

Orion's Nebulae

Without a doubt, this is one of my greatest accomplishments and most work I've put into a single image. The Orion Nebula. aka Messier 42. 1344 light years away. 24 light years across.
